unseasonably warm temps and crif dogs made our first ever hotdog party a great success.

We were lucky enough to have the BOOM! installation in our lobby for 2 weeks. It definitely livened up the lobby! Users played with visualizations and games on the iPads to change the sound patterns that were pumped from the boomboxes stacked on the wall.—CULTURE SHOCK presents BOOM!, a good old-fashioned celebration of technology, creativity, physicality, and art. When input/output jacks were incorporated into boomboxes, allowing for the coupling of devices such as microphones and turntables, an explosion of creativity occurred. New forms of dance emerged, new forms of music, as cultural experimentation was taken to the streets. This installation pays homage to that energy.
BOOM! features Boomboxes from the personal collection of Lyle Owerko, audio visual touch reactive iPad apps from Glenn Marshall (Eyegasm and Supernova), Thicket by Interval Studios, Joshue Ott (visuals), Morgan Packard (music) and Jason Booher (UI design), Silk by Yuri Vishnevsky’s, Bubble Harp by Scott Snibbe and Soundrop by Max Weisel, lead app developers for Björk’s Biophilia, audio interfaces curated by Dave Hodge. Innovation happens when things that are separate get mixed.

we celebrated valentines day by sending carnations to our favorite coworkers - a la our favorite middle school tradition. afshin, our dapper delivery man, burned 1000 calories delivering flowers all over the building. we had an inflatable bull stop by, and lost in the trees played - more photos of that to come! ogilvy was definitely feeling the love on 2/14.

"The design process is no longer divided into concept, design, and production, but rather the design process blends with the production process and the product is created in many small iteration steps in which idea, design, and programming are always closely entwined."

Tons of great photographers (including Ed) have portfolios on Tiny Vices, where I found this image.
